Stephanie Curran graduated from the International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Vancouver in 2000 with a Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine Diploma. Stephanie furthered her studies with advanced acupuncture training in China, where she completed a hospital internship program.
Stephanie has been in private practice in Victoria since 2000 and founded the Elements of Health Centre in 2006. She has devoted much of her practice to treating women’s health issues and has completed many specialized courses in the application of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) for treating reproductive and pregnancy conditions. Stephanie has studied under notable TCM gynecology and infertility experts such as Dr. Randine Lewis, author of “The Infertility Cure”, Bob Flaws, author of “ Fulfilling the Essence Chinese, Treatments for Female Infertility ” and Jane Lyttleton, author of “Treatment of Infertility with Chinese Medicine”. She obtained her fellowship with the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine (ABORM) in 2009 and is one of eight Canadians holding this designation.

Passionate about working with women throughout their pregnancies, Stephanie has completed doula training as well as extensive TCM course work in obstetrics. Her teachers have included Jean Levesque from Montreal and Raven Lang in California. During the years that she attended births, Stephanie integrated acupuncture and labour support in both home and hospital settings.
Stephanie has a strong background in treating musculoskeletal conditions and spent the first three years of her practice working at the Cedar Hill Sports Therapy Clinic. Stephanie is a past instructor at the Canadian College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Victoria, where she taught a course in blending both eastern and western sciences to treat sports injuries and soft tissue pathologies.
Stephanie and her husband Chris, a registered massage therapist, have traveled to East Africa and Venezuela to volunteer and provide health services in rural, third world communities. When not working, Stephanie enjoys playing guitar, windsurfing, camping and going for walks on the beach with Chris and their lovely dog Tosca.
In accordance with provincial regulation, all therapists at the Elements of Health Centre are licensed and in good standing with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncturists (CTCMA) or College of Massage Therapists.
